Mission: To save lives and reduce hospitalizations by protecting children, families, and communities against influenza.

Ways to Engage

Promote Awareness

  • Share FFF family stories on social media (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn) or during relevant conversations with others
  • Distribute FFF materials (see below)
  • Set up an FFF fundraiser on Facebook or in-person event
  • Use FFF Amazon Smile when making online purchases
  • Contact your local TV and radio station(s) and ask them to run a story on the impacts of flu and the importance of flu prevention (such as FFF family stories) and/or highlight FFF’s video resources
  • Get involved with your local immunization coalition to highlight flu awareness and prevention
  • Connect with your local legislator(s) to discuss the importance of flu awareness and prevention and appropriate public health policies
  • Volunteer to facilitate a vaccination clinic (school, community center, employer site, etc.)

Fundraise for FFF

  • Hold a community or live event: Some examples include bowling, ice skating, or rollerblading, talent show, fashion show, carnival, bake sale, garage sale, karaoke party, pancake breakfast, lemonade stand, and concert. Charge people to attend or have them buy an item and donate the proceeds to FFF.
  • Hold a school event: Some examples include offering a casual day with donations if students usually wear a uniform, a pajama or funny hat day with a donation, and a donation ‘bucket’ in classes for FFF (during flu season).
  • Hold a workplace event: Some examples include a chili cook-off, bake sale, themed office lunch party, and steps challenge (get people to pledge to walk a certain amount per day in exchange for donations).
  • Hold a partner event: Restaurants such as Chipotle, Bertucci’s, California Pizza Kitchen, Potbelly Sandwich Shop, Panda Express, Panera Bread, Red Robin, TGI Friday’s, Uno Pizzeria, and Buffalo Wild Wings offer partner charity events. When you help promote patrons to come to their restaurant on a certain day, they will donate a certain amount or percentage of the sales to charity.
