Donate before July 1, 2013, and your gift will be matched 100% by Richard and Alissa Kanowitz, generous parents who lost their daughter to influenza. Richard and Alissa will match up to $15,000 of donations received by July 1.
Sadly, 149 children died this year from the flu. Approximately, 90% of these children were not vaccinated against the flu. Many of these deaths may have been prevented by vaccination.
Your gift will be used to fund Families Fighting Flu’s public service education and outreach programs, which help educate millions of people about the seriousness of influenza and the importance of annual vaccination.
Families Fighting Flu is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, which operates solely on donations from organizations and people like you, who support our mission and share our goals. Your tax-deductible contribution will help save another child from being hospitalized or dying from this vaccine-preventable disease.
Our policies and activities are determined by the member families and medical experts that make up our Board of Directors. We do not advocate on behalf of any flu manufacturers or endorse any specific flu vaccine.
